Pretty unbelievable that we are into another holiday season already. This year seems to have flown by! I am already beginning to feel a little bit more rushed with more to do, plan, and take care of. For me, the holidays tend to be rushed because I love the season and I want to enjoy them to the fullest. Plus I want those around me to have a wonderful time. But it IS possible to reframe the holidays into an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and kindness for ourselves and others.
When I focus on the sweetness, on staying open, on simply doing my best, I find that the pace of my life is more healing, has a slower cadence. And from that stance I can not only see and observe others … but offer kindness, a helping hand, and better enjoy the spirit of the holiday season.
Do all that you can to feel your heart expand this holiday season. Take a yoga class. Go out for an unhurried walk in nature. Get a Plant Spirit Medicine treatment. See your healing practitioner. Prioritize you. Prioritize those activities and people you absolutely love to be with. So that the joy and the sweetness of the season can move through you … to others and touch our entire world.
